WGCI Executive Director Mike Moore delivered the following testimony before the IRS during a hearing on the 45Z Clean Fuel Production Credit (REG-121244-23). Moore urged the Treasury and the IRS to issue clear, workable guidance that recognizes coal mine methane as a productive domestic energy resource, supports waste gas capture projects, and helps drive investment, job creation, and energy security in legacy energy communities.
